Researcher uses federal grant to investigate West Nile Virus

Georgia State University’s Margo Brinton, a Regents’ Professor in the Department of Biology, received a $289,000 federal stimulus grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue her research on West Nile virus, which is transmitted to humans by mosquitoes. GSU professor uses Department of Energy grant to investigate DNA replication and repair

A Georgia State University chemist and his colleagues are among a just a few teams in the country who have been given access to powerful supercomputers by the U.S. Department of Energy to model the mechanisms surrounding the replication and repair of DNA.
